MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received an Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for 2017. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN which was his debut long-player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It reached the number 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He released Dopamina which was his top charting second album, in the year following. In 2021, he also performed an duet with TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo has an musical family, as both his elder brother and mother are musicians. In his interviews, he said music participation as mandatory. In his childhood he was taught how to perform on the guitar, piano and ukulele. His initial choice of career was to be a vet however, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn to sing with the help of a Cuban teacher. It was the result that he found his talents for singing, and the result transformed his career path.
